about

Final flashback. Civilization is done. It is now time to get out of the city and head to a remote location far from the chaos. The protagonist is using a CB to communicate to their loved ones who are already in a safe place. There is trouble as they make their way through the wasteland to “safety.”

lyrics

Don’t Delay

A) Exit: “I think I have as much as I can grab. Hopefully it’s enough for a start. I gotta get moving before the sun comes up. See you soon.”

B) The Road: “Clear sailing so far. Almost no one out on the roads. I should be clear in another twenty miles or so. I’ll keep you posted.”

C) Trouble: “Looks like there’s some people blocking the road. I stopped and pulled off as soon as I saw them. Shit, they’re coming my way . . . Gotta go.”

D) Chaos

E) The Fight

F) Regroup: “Yeah, I made it. Umm, that’s all I can say. Shocked, sick. Didn’t have to be that way. Just wanted to pass. They wanted the vehicle and the supplies. Couldn’t let that happen. Fucked up right now. Stopped, clearing my head. I’ll let you know when I get closer . . .”

G) Respite: “Less than an hour out. Taking dirt roads now, pavement is no good. Don’t want anymore trouble. Love you.”

H) Onward
